The Hotel Du Lac is a romantic villa covered with flowers, right on the lakefront in the medieval part of Varenna. It was build in 1823 and trasformed into an hotel in the middle of the twentieth century. The renovation has conserved the old charm right down to the details, the materials and colours. It’s old name is “Casetta Teodolinda”, because it is said that the Lombard Queen used to come here to rest during the summer season. |
